PM Dahal, in a meet with Reporter’s Club officials at PM residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday, said that the apex courts verdict has created an environment for the functioning of the parliament, Madhes-based parties agreeing to the statute amendment leading towards political consensus.
“The latest verdict by the SC has prompted the political parties to come into consensus,” said PM Dahal, “The verdict has created an environment where the opposition parties would let the parliament function and the Madhes-based parties come in accord with the amendment. Political consensus will be achieved soon.”
During the meeting, PM Dahal reiterated the government’s priority of implementing the constitution saying that the government is focused on political as well as developmental activities simultaneously.
