The Legislature-Parliament meeting has been postponed for 1 pm Tuesday.
Earlier today, Speaker Onsari Gharti had postponed the House for 4 pm due to the obstruction by opposition parties including the CPN-UML.
Speaker Gharti announced the postponement after the lawmakers standing in protest didn’t pay heed to her repeated request to take their seats. The lawmakers stood for about 12 minutes to express their protest against the amendment bill registered at the parliament.
She said that it would not be good to obstruct the parliamentary proceedings for a long time.
The opposition parties have been obstructing the House since December 1 after the government registered the amendment motion on November 29.
