Skiing - the renowned winter sport - was held in Gosaikunda area with an aim to promote tourism.
The event was held with an aim to contribute towards promotion of community-based tourism, said Himalayan Ski Sport Pvt Executive Director, Lalit Bahadur Shrish. The game was held in the snow-capped areas of Gosaikunda and Suryakunda.
A total of 75 players took part in the event which included 50 Nepali nationals and 25 foreigners from the US, the UK, Chile, Austria, Germany, Sweden and France.
The winter sport which started on December 18 was made more interesting with snowfall in the alpine regions on Sunday. Skiing has been held for the past five years in Gosaikunda and Langtang areas one at a time. RSS
