Talking to reporters after a visit to the Human Organ Transplant Centre, Bhaktapur, Speaker Gharti said, "There is no alternative to an agreement for an outlet to current problem, so the parties have come closer to agreement."
She termed the present scenario a transitional phase of constitution implementation and added she had urged the parties to move forward with a common mindset and in unity.
"I met with Prime Minister today, he has assured of an agreement among the parties," he said, adding "I have called a joint meeting of the party on December 26 – Monday, that meeting will surely give an outlet for the country."
Stating that the registered constitution amendment proposal has already made it to the Parliament's programme schedule, Speaker Gharti said the parties in agreement can either withdraw it or proceed with it.
"I have urged the parties to reach an agreement of getting into the process even if they cannot agree on the proposal registered at the Parliament, I feel an outlet will surely come when the parties sit around a single table," she said.
The parties are one on the issue of holding the three-tier elections by Magh, 7 2074 BS, so in this view, the problem will be resolved through agreement among the parties, she added.
On the occasion, the Speaker met with Bal Ram Naga, 36, of Bhaktpur, who underwent the first and successful organ transplant in Nepal on December 8 2015 at the Centre.
