Four people, including a Spanish national, were killed when a landslide occurred at the bridge connecting Uiya-Kerauja along the Manaslu trekking route in Gorkha district.
The deceased have been identified as Tshering Sherpa, 30, Dorje Lama, 35, of Kathmandu and Ranjana Basnet, 32, of Okhaldhunga district. The identity of the Spanish national has not been known yet.
Gorkha Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta informed six others are critically injured in the landslide.
A Fishtail Chopper airlifted the injured people to Kathmandu for treatment.
Correction: Though we earlier wrote two foreigners died in the incident as informed by CDO Narayan Bhatta, the hospital administration said no one has died during the course of treatment.
