Two die after being swept away by river
An elderly and a minor died after being swept by a local river in the eastern part of Lamjung district on Tuesday.

An elderly and a minor died after being swept by a local river in the eastern part of Lamjung district on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Sukhe Gurung, 50, of Gauda-1 and 13-year-old Sujan Gurung of Pachowk-5 in the district.
The incident occurred while they were crossing River swollen following a heavy rainfall at noon. Their bodies were recovered from some 150 metres down the River, according to Samirchandra Kharel, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Lamjung.
