The party will organise a grand rally in Basantapur, Kathmandu, to mark the first anniversary of the constitution written by the historic Constituent Assembly last year.
UML leader Krishna Gopal Shrestha said the party has directed its committees to celebrate the constitution day with various programmes. Former PM and party Chairman KP Sharma Oli would address the mass meeting at Basantapur.
The meeting also decided to appoint Chakrapani Timilsina, Dilliraj Khanal, Ghanashyam Gautam and Majhilal Tharu Thanet as members of the Central Advisory Council of the party and inducted Krishna Bahadur Shahi as a member of its Elderly Communist Forum.
A Central Contact Coordination Com-mittee has been formed under Chhabilal Bishworkarma.
Bijay Gurung is the joint in-charge of the committee with Narendra Shrestha as its secretary.
