Traffic police have booked 22 drivers for breaching the traffic rules from the district in 24 hours since Wednesday night.
Head Constable Nir Bahadur Budhathoki said that a total of Rs 13,200 has been collected from the traffic rule violators in fine during a checking.
One of the traffic rule violators was found driving under the influence of alcohol, he said, adding that most of the rule violators are motorcycle riders.
He said that the checking has been intensified as part of traffic police's campaign to curb increasing road accidents during festivals.
The offence includes riding or driving without wearing helmets and possessing necessary documents among others.
