Demos continue in Tarai districts

The Morcha supporters staged a motorcycle rally at Janakchok in Janakpur against the new constitution. The Morcha leaders said they disown the constitution that does not address the demands of Madhesi people and declared Sunday, the day of constitution promulgation, as a black day.
Gyanendra Yadav of Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal said they will not accept the new constitution and continue to protest until their demands are addressed.
Sanghiya Limbuwan Party also has expressed their dissatisfaction against the endorsement of the new constitution. They threatened to burn the new
constitution and stage protest until the nine districts, east of Arun River, are declared Limbuwan State.
In Biratnagar of Morang district, Muslim community stage a rally demanding their identity and proportional rights.
Morang police, meanwhile, filed a public offence case against two Morcha supporters on the charge of attacking security personnel during a clash one week ago.
In Dhangadhi of Kailali district, the local administration clamped curfew from 12pm to 3 pm on Thursday. Assistant Chief District Officer Udaya Bahadur Singh said the curfew order was issued to maintain law and order. The local administration had lifted the curfew in Dhangadhi on Wednesday considering the Teej festival.
