Asian Paints Nepal honours winners of architecture and interior design competition
Purushottam Ghimire of IOE Thapathali Campus wins the 13th edition of Kaleidoscope, with the winning design handed over to the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction.Post Report
Asian Paints Nepal has concluded the 13th edition of the Kaleidoscope All Nepal Architecture and Interior Design Competition 2025-26, recognising students for their work in architecture and interior design.
The award ceremony was held at Aloft by Marriott in Thamel on July 10, with secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development Gopal Prasad Sigdel attending as the chief guest.
Representatives from the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC), the Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA), the Nepal Engineering Association (NEA), the Interior Designers Association Nepal (IDEA Nepal), the Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal (FCAN), the Society of Consulting Architectural and Engineering Firms (SCAEF), along with architects, interior designers, academicians and students, attended the programme.
According to Asian Paints Nepal, the competition provides architecture and interior design students with opportunities to work on practical design projects and gain industry exposure.
Purushottam Ghimire of IOE Thapathali Campus won the competition. Suman BK of IOE Purwanchal Campus was named first runner-up, while Aditi Rijal of Himalaya College of Engineering secured the second runner-up position.
The top 12 finalists received certificates, while the top three winners were awarded trophies, certificates and cash prizes.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of the winning design through a 3D model. The design was later handed over to the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction for consideration.
