La Hacienda Barra Y Cocina Latina has opened at Moxy Kathmandu, introducing a contemporary Latin American dining and cocktail destination to the capital.
Conceived as a modern interpretation of a traditional Mexican hacienda, the restaurant blends cuisine, cocktails, art, and design into a single immersive experience. The interior, designed by Pablo Castellanos Studio, reimagines classic hacienda architecture through a contemporary lens. Arches, sculptural corridors, limewash walls, carved wooden panels, and bold, vibrant furnishings create a warm yet striking atmosphere inspired by Mexico and the wider Latin American region. A moon-inspired illuminated bar serves as the visual centerpiece, anchoring the space and drawing guests into its lively social energy.
Located within the newly opened Moxy Hotel, La Hacienda is a concept rooted in memory, travel, and cultural exchange. The menu reflects the personal journey of Chef Martín Hernández, taking diners across Latin America through flavor and technique. From the bold, tradition-rich tacos of Mexico to the bright, fresh ceviches of Peru, the dishes are shaped by the chef’s experiences and travels across the region. Each plate tells a story, complemented by carefully curated tequila, mezcal, and cocktail pairings.
Designed to suit both casual visits and elevated dining occasions, La Hacienda offers a relaxed yet refined setting. Its dedicated cocktail bar acts as the social heart of the venue, welcoming guests for informal drinks or complete dining experiences inspired by the vibrant flavours and spirit of Latin America.
