Nepse dips 15 points as most sector indices decline
Turnover contracts to Rs4.72 billion with over 11.3 million shares traded.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) fell by 15.64 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,726.33, as most sectoral sub-indices ended in the red.
A total of 11.34 million shares of 326 companies were traded in 68,594 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs4.72 billion.
Among the sub-indices, mutual funds rose by 0.22 percent and trading by 0.07 percent. All other sectors, however, recorded losses. Banking fell by 0.55 percent, development banks 0.85 percent, finance 0.76 percent, hotels and tourism 0.93 percent, hydropower 0.93 percent, investment 0.54 percent, and life insurance 0.56 percent. Manufacturing and processing slipped 0.40 percent, microfinance 0.69 percent, non-life insurance 0.39 percent, and others 0.27 percent.
Himstar Energy Company Limited hit the positive circuit on the day, while Liberty Energy Company Limited registered the steepest fall, dropping 6.99 percent.
By transaction value, Union Hydropower Limited led the market with trades worth Rs338 million. In terms of volume, Liberty Energy topped the chart with 1.21 million shares changing hands.
