MG Motor debuts in Nepal with GS and ZS

MG’s GS price ranges from Rs5.49 million to Rs7.45 million, while ZS’s price ranges from Rs5.05 million to Rs5.59 million, the company said in a press statement. The company has appointed Paramount Motors as its automotive distributor in Nepal.
The story of MG (Morris Garages) began in 1924 in the UK. In the years that followed, MG’s stunning sports cars and cabriolets were the ride of choice for many celebrities, including British Prime Ministers and several members of the British Royal Family. This helped the company become a leading motor company.
The brand’s launch ceremony was held at the company’s showroom in Naxal, which was inaugurated by the British Ambassador to Nepal Richard Morris.
Sachin Aryal, general manager of Paramount Motors said, “MG is one of the fastest growing global automotive brands. Over the years, MG has built a strong foundation for itself, and grown exponentially by entering new and emerging markets.”
“The company had expressed its intention of taking the MG brand all over the globe, and today it is living up to its promise with this inauguration,” he added.
MG’s GS comes fully packed with advanced specifications—from automatic headlamps to a cruise control system, rear parking sensors, a camera, a DAB radio and Bluetooth control. The machine comes with a 2 litre engine, turbo 4 cylinders that produces a max torque of 350Nm and max power of 162 KW.
It also has an all-wheel drive function and has a fuel tank capacity of 55 litre. The height of the GS is 1,699 mm and the length is 4,500 mm.
MG ZS is equipped with an 88-kilowatt power-petrol engine with 4 cylinders that makes 150Nm of torque. It has a length of 4314 mm, height of 1,648 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,585mm. It comes with a 48 litre fuel tank.
To expand its network in Southeast Asia, MG has already established a manufacturing plant in Thailand, which uses the most advanced technology to manufacture the highest quality of automobiles, the company said. MG is also planning to invest in a production facility in India, which will start operation by the first quarter of 2019.
