ZTE debuts in Nepal with 3 Blade phones
Chinese telecommunications and information technology company ZTE has launched three budget smartphones, namely the Blade S6, D2 and D3 to cater to low-income customers.

ZTE is the sixth Chinese mobile brand after Huawei, Lenovo, Gionee, Xiomee and One Plus to hit the domestic market. The company has appointed Evolution Enterprise as its authorised distributor.
“The ZTE Blade series phones come with high-tech features and are budget phones,” said Bishal Acharya, managing director of Evolution Enterprise.
“With the launch of these three 4G supportive devices, we are optimistic that ZTE will establish itself as a popular and competitive brand in Nepal.”
According to Acharya, the phones are spec-packed handsets targeting youths who seek feature-loaded smartphones at an affordable price.
The Blade S6 is based on the Android Lollipop platform and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Octacore processor.
The S6 has a 5-inch full HD display and is 7.7 mm thick. The phone sports a 13 mega pixel Sony rear camera with professional mode and a 5 mega pixel front-facing camera.
The device has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM and is powered by a 2,400 mAh battery. The phone also touts gestures like V pattern for turning on music and a shake to light the torch. The phone has been priced at Rs15,900.
Likewise, the Blade D2 which is also called a ‘battery phone’ has a 4,000 mAh battery. The company has claimed that the phone offers 35 days of standby time and allows users to enjoy 11 hours of online gaming, 18 hours of internet surfing, 35 hours of continuous talk, 76 hours of listening to music and 18 hours of video marathon.
The phone has a 5-inch HD IPS curved display and runs on a Quad-core processor. The device has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM, an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 mega pixel front camera. The phone has been priced at Rs10,990.
Similarly, the Blade D3 operates on a 1.3 GHz Quad-core Processor and has a 5-inch HD IPS display.
Like the S6, the D3 features a 13 mega pixel front camera with professional mode. The set is also known as ‘selfie phone’ and the company said that it planned to tap into the growing craze for selfies among mobile phone users.
The device has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM. Other feature of the D3 include smart key customization, auto call and auto answer options. The phone is available for Rs12,500.
