A group of unidentified persons smeared black soot on the face of Sugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of Nepal Airlines Corporation, on Friday. It is suspected that the attackers belonged to the CPN (Revolutionary Maoist). Though the party did not own up the responsibility for the incident, its leader CP Gajurel said that his party supported the group’s action. Kansakar is accused of his involvement in the controversial purchase deal of two aircraft. (PR)
