A woman died on the spot after being hit by lightning at Triyuga Municipality-12 in Udayapur on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Chalimaya Magar, 65, accordign to the District Police Office, Udayapur.

The incident occurred while she was sleeping in the courtyard of her house.
