Janakpur
The Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) has claimed that two of its activists were beat up by Nepali Congress (NC) cadres in Janakpur on Friday night. In a statement issued on Saturday, the RJP-N Dhanusha chief Sanjaya Singh said the NC supporters led by its mayoral candidate thrashed two RJP-N activists at Bidhyapati Chowk. He also accused the NC cadres of vandalising the RJP-N election publicity office. However, NC mayoral candidate in Janakpur Sub-metropolis Manoj Kumar Sah denied any wrong doing. “It is just a conspiracy to defame me,” he said. (PR)
