The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Sunday arrested Surya Prakash Pariyar, a tameldar (runner) at the Kathmandu District Court, red-handed, while taking Rs 35 thousand in bribe.
CIAA spokesman Jeev Raj Koirala said a CIAA team nabbed Pariyar from Budhanilkantha, acting on a complaint and an application that he had been asking for bribe from a service-seeker under various pretext for the purpose of serving a court notice.
