8 killed in car-tanker collision in India, 7 victims feared Nepalis
Eight persons died in a car-tanker collision at Purandar along the Sunauli-Gorakhpur road section in India on Friday. Local police suspected that seven of the deceased are Nepali citizens.

According to Belahiya Traffic Police Office of Nepal, the incident occurred when the Indica car bearing Indian registration number plate UP 53 CT 7202 heading towards Sunauli from Gorakhpur collided head-on with a tractor en route to Gorakhpur from Sunauli this afternoon.
It has been learnt that the car diver, one woman, two children and four men died in the accident. The identity of car driver Rahim Khan of bordering area in Sunauli and two Nepalis Jukhai Tharu and Umesh Chaudhary of Tilattoma Municipality-17 have been ascertained until now. The identities of the other deceased are yet to be known.
Two police personnel from the Belahiya Police have headed towards the incident site to take stock of the situation.
Police Inspector Rabin Bista said the identity of the deceased could not be easily ascertained as the authorities could not find their proper identity from the incident site.
The bodies of the deceased have been kept at the Purandar Police Station. The incident site is at a distance of 40 kilometres from Sunauli.
