Lal Prasad Sharma, the Pokhara correspondent of the Post, has been conferred with Captain Rudraman Gurung Memorial Rural Journalism Award in recognition of his contribution to rural tourism promotion through his works. Sharma was awarded at a function in Pokhara on Sunday. 

The award was set up in memory of late Gurung,  who started the country’s first ever home-stay business at Syangja’s Sirubari. (PR)
