Nepali embassy in United Arab Emirates has made public the names of 51 individuals and travel agents involved in illegal trafficking of migrant workers.
The names were made public based on the complaints regisered by the victims who reached the embassy, and for futher legal action against them. The traffickers are Nepali citizens based in Nepal and UAE.
Embassy spokesperson Krishna Acharya informed 71 victims had filed complaint at the embassy. The embassy has kept 33 women in shelter, while 38 men stranded after they reached the country on visit visas have also been rescued.
