Home Minister Janardan Sharma returned from the Sri Lankan capital city of Colombo on Friday after attending a meeting of officials from the Saarc member nations.

 The three-day meeting from July 11 to 13 discussed a wide range of issues related to Saarc countries including the development and implementation of Saarc Visa Exemption Stickers Scheme to ease visa processing for citizens of the member nations while travelling within the Saarc region and taking necessary measures to make Saarc Offence Monitoring Desk and Drugs Offence Monitoring Desk effective, the Home Ministry said in a statement. 

The meeting also agreed to organise a conference of Saarc police organisations in September to improve co-ordination and cooperation between police organisations of Saarc member countries. The conference will be held in Nepal.
