Gachhadar seeks assurance from ruling coalition
Madhesdi Janaadhikar Forum-Loktantrik Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar has made it clear that the 30-party alliance would not sit for dialogue until assurances from the ruling parties. At a press conference organised by Dhanusha Chapter of MJF-L on Sunday, Chairperson Gachhadar accused the ruling coalition of opting for promulgating a new constitution brushing aside the path of consensus on the backing of majority against the past agreements and understandings.
"The constitution sans consensus is not possible. If so, it would not sustain longer. Therefore, consensus is the way to address the problem," he added.
He further noted, "I had floated a modest proposal to save the country from vicious cycle of conflict based on political experience, thought and conscience".
The political parties are discussing on the periphery of my proposal especially following January 22, he said, adding, "The country has come to such complex situation for not adhering my political prescription".
