Police on Friday arrested two youths in possession of brown sugar from Salyan.

According to Police Inspector Bhawani Prasad Dhamala, also the spokesperson at the district police office, 60 milligrams of brown sugar was confiscated from the accused, aged 18 and 20.

Police had stopped the duo, who were travelling to Lanti from Sankhamul of Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality on a motorcycle, and found the contraband drug in the purse of the 18-year-old.

The district court has remanded the accused to four days in custody and further investigation into the matter is underway.
