Post Report
Karnali Yaks posted a target of 134 runs for Biratnagar Kings in their Nepal Premier League (NPL) encounter at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
Opting to field after winning the toss, Biratnagar Kings restricted Karnali to 133 runs, bowling them out on the final ball of the 20th over.
Karnali’s innings got off to a rocky start, losing two wickets in the third over. However, a resilient 102-run partnership for the third wicket between opener Dev Khanal and William Bosisto steadied the innings.
William Bosisto top-scored with 66 runs off 49 balls, smashing five boundaries and three sixes before falling lbw to Chris Sole in the penultimate over. Dev Khanal contributed 53 runs from 48 balls, with four fours and two sixes, before being caught by Sole off Basir Ahamad’s delivery.
Despite their efforts, Karnali struggled to accelerate in the latter stages, with Biratnagar’s disciplined bowling ensuring they remained within reach.
The Kings will now chase 134 to secure a crucial victory in the tournament.
