Nepathya revive Sarubhakta song in new single

Kuroop Anuhar was written by poet and novelist Sarubhakta and composed by Vikram Gurung in the 80s during their university days.
“I thank Nepathya for reviving this song,” lyricist Sarubhakta remarked when he witnessed the live performance of the song last year in a concert. “The chorus in the song has touched me the most.”
While composer Vikram said that the new song aptly captures the feel of the lyrics. “Though Nepathya has presented it in their own style, I could sense my feelings portrayed in their performance. Experimenting a composition in various presentation style is normal in music,” Vikram said.
Vikram has made important contributions to Nepali music with several iconic Arun Thapa songs like Ankha ko Nid and Bhulu Bhulu Lagyo. He is now residing Hong Kong and or the last three decades has been pursuing teaching as a profession.
The newly-released video also features footages captured during Nepathya’s tour to Australia and New Zealand.
Nepathya’s current lineup includes Amrit Gurung on vocals, Dhruba lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on keys, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, and Shanti Rayamajhi on madal.
