Nepali folk rock band Nepathya on Monday made public a music video in memory of the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, 2015.
The band released the video of its song titled ‘Naramro Sapana Dekein’ that was recorded in 2001 on the first anniversary of the mega earthquake. The video and the song is dedicated to the victims of the earthquake and is released on Nepathya’s official You Tube channel, said Nepa~laya in a press statement.
The video with the pre and post earthquake footage of Kathmandu-based heritage sites is the reinterpretation of the song titled ‘Naramro Sapana Dekein’ that was recorded in 2001. “We thought the song could be used as a memorial to the mega quake that struck Nepal,” said Kiran Shrestha of Nepa~laya, the promoters of Nepathya.
The band was touring Australia when the devastating earthquake rocked the country.
“Those who died left us with memories, but we who survived must rise and live,” said Nepathya front-man Amrit Gurung.
