Singer Neetu Paudel, who had set herself on fire after dousing her body with petrol, has passed away. She breathed her last on Friday morning while undergoing treatment at the Nepal Cleft and Burn Centre, Kirtipur Hospital, according to Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai at the Kathmandu District Police Range.

Paudel, on Saturday afternoon, had poured petrol over herself and attempted self-immolation. She was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Following the incident on Saturday, police had called singer Babul Giri for questioning.
