Nepal Army’s new anthem inspires patriotism and unity

The song ‘Rastriya Ekata Ko Pratik—Bir Nepali Sena’ (which translates to ‘symbol of national unity—the brave Nepal Army’) was unveiled on Tuesday at the Army Officers’ Club in Kathmandu. General Prabhuram Sharma, the chief of the Nepal Army (CAS), introduced the song in a release ceremony attended by army officials and distinguished figures from the Nepali music, art, and literary world.
Singers Gita Pandey and Subash Timsina voiced the song, with the lyrics written by Baburam Shrestha and composed by Rajendra Bajgai.
An accompanying music video for the track was released during the event, which conveyed feelings of national pride and independence. The creators of the song were also honoured by General Sharma. The song highlights the history of the Nepal Army and encapsulates its values, needs and goals.
