Four students stranded in Phulchoki forest located after 11 hours
Police say, the students went missing while trying to find a shortcut way out of the forest during a school excursion.Post Report
Four students who went missing in a forest in Phulchoki, Lalitpur have been located after 11 hours.
According to the Lalitpur Metropolitan Police, the students were left stranded inside the forest after they tried to find a shortcut way out of the forest during a school excursion.
Police informed that 125 students of grades 11 and 12, along with nine teachers, of Rastriya Nirmal Secondary School in Mulpani, Kathmandu had come to Phulchoki on Saturday for an excursion.
The four students got separated from the excursion group while trying to find an alternate way following which the teachers and other students formed teams to search for them.
After their failed attempt to locate the missing students, the teachers and students notified the Badegaun Police Division.
A 20-member police search team under the command of Inspector Dipak KC located the students at around 1 am on Sunday.
The police have handed over the students to the school administration and teachers.
