Properties worth Rs 122,000 were destroyed after a rented room in a house caught fire at Dhadikot in Bhaktapur on Wednesday.
According to the police, a rented room of Samjhana Kayastha at Chitrapur, Dhadikot in Surya Binakayak Municipality-4 caught fire destroying her belongings and other items inside the room.
Locals and police were able to bring the fire under control before causing any further damages.
Meanwhile, the police are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire and investigation into the matter is underway.
