Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokhrel has urged Dr Govinda KC to end his protest programme and work with the government at the Medical Education Commission instead.
Lauding Dr KC’s contributions towards reformation of country’s medical education, Minister Pokhrel proposed the orthopaedic surgeon to coordinate with the government. “I have been proposing Dr KC to take the lead in the proposed commission,” said the minister, responding to the question about Dr KC’s fast-unto-death during a press meet. However, the bill has proposed the prime minister as the commission head.
