Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Saturday directed Chief District Officers to immediately move flood-affected people to higher and safer places.
The direction comes after at least 17 persons were killed across the country in flood and landslides on Friday and Saturday alone.
PM's office informed PM telephoned Chief District Officers of flood affected districts this morning and directed them to move people at risk to safer places. He also directed to immediately begin rescue works and arrange for the treatment of those injured in the disaster.
