The major tasks of Parliament will be accomplished on Saturday as it has already elected Prime Minister, Speaker, and Deputy-Speaker and President.
There have not been any discussions between government and Parliament Secretariat on providing business to the House.
A high-level source at the Parliament Secretariat said they were prepared to forward Reconstruction Bill if the government wishes to do so. However, the government has not yet consulted whether it wants to amend the Bill registered by the previous government.
The former government led by Nepali Congress’s Sushil Koirala had registered a Bill after the authority formed through an ordinance was scrapped as the government failed to register a replacement Bill in time.
