Newly elected President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has been sworn in as the first woman president of the country amid a special function at the president’s office in Sheetal Niwas, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu on Thursday.
Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha administered the oath of office and secrecy to President Bhandari.
Bhandari will succeed outgoing President Ram Baran Yadav.
