Police arrested a youth absconding after an alleged sexual assault in Doti.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhimlal Bhattarai, Lal Raikal,38 of Adarsha rural municipality, who was at large after raping a 20-year-old girl, was arrested while performing the funeral rites of his mother on Sunday.

Raikal had reportedly looted 30,000 rupees in cash from the victim after the assault.
