Two people died and seven others were injured, some critically, when a passenger jeep crashed at Khadina in ward 1 of Jorayal Rural Municipality in Doti district on Wednesday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhimlal Bhattarai, Dhauli Devi Dhami, 40, and three-year-old Ritika Parki of ward 4 of Lekam Rural Municipality in Darchula district died in the incident.
Dhauli Devi died on the spot while Ritika succumbed to her injuries in the course of treatment. The vehicle was heading for Dhangadhi from Darchula.
