Clash between UML and RSP cadres in Baitadi leaves three injured
Clash erupts during door-to-door campaign in Dilasaini Rural Municipality.Mohan Chand
Three cadres were injured in a clash between the CPN-UML and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) supporters in Baitadi on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred around 7:50pm in Lek Tole of Dhami village, ward 7 of Dilasaini Rural Municipality, during a door-to-door campaign, Police Inspector Suraj Singh, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Baitadi, said.
Those injured include Janak Dhami, 28, and Madhav Dhami, 26, both affiliated with UML’s Youth Association. Janak sustained head injuries, while Madhav was hurt on his back and legs. RSP cadre Lal Singh Dhami suffered minor injuries. All are receiving treatment at Gokuleshwar Hospital and are reported in stable condition.
Police detained around four to five RSP cadres and are continuing the investigation.
