Kanchanpur
A student died after being hit by a bus in Suda of Bedkot Municipality-7 in Kanchanpur district on Friday.
The 21-year-old, a student at the Mahendranagar-based Kanchan Vidya Mandir Samudayik College, was hit by the Darchula-bound bus on Friday morning, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Shah.
The agitated locals have staged protests by disrupting vehicular movement along the Suda section of the East-West Highway.
The bus driver has been taken into custody for investigation, said police.
