Darchula
A suspension bridge connecting Nepal and India was reopened by Indian authorities to the public from 9am on Monday, two hours later than the usual time.
Darchula locals on Sunday padlocked the door of the suspension bridge that connects Nepal and India after the Indian side unilaterally started constructing an embankment along the Mahakali river.
Dirgha Raj Upadhyaya, chief district officer of Darchula, said the issue was resolved yesterday by coordinating with the locals and the Indian authorities.
