Scotland register 43-run victory over Namibia

Scotland registered a 43-run victory over Namibia in the ongoing Triangular Series of the ICC Men’s World Cup League 2 held at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Monday.
Namibia, earlier, won the toss and elected to field. Their decision paid off well as they were able to restrict Scotland to 221 runs in 48.4 overs.
For Scotland, Christopher Mc Bride scored the highest 47 runs in 75 balls followed by Tomas Mackintosh, who put up 34 runs in 48 deliveries. Skipper Richie Berrington scored 32 runs and Michael Leask hit another 29 runs off 26 deliveries.
Ruben Trumpelmann shone for Namibia, claiming five wickets in his 9.4-over spell. Tangeni Lungameni took two, and Bernard Sholtz, Ben Shikongo and Pikky Ya France bagged one wicket each.
In response, Scotland put up a decent bowling performance to wrap up the Namibian side to 178 in 38.4 overs. Mark Watt took four wickets for the team while Leask claimed three, Brandon McMullen bagged two wickets and Chris Greaves grabbed one wicket.
Namibia opener Lo-handre Louwrens scored the highest 52 runs off 67 deliveries, followed by skipper Gerhard Erasmus, who hit 43 runs, and Zane Green put 25 runs on the board. Likewise, Shaun Fouche and Trumpelmann hit 10 runs each for Namibia.
