Maskey announces presidential bid in volleyball association

Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) vice president Niroj Maskey has announced candidacy for presidential post at the volleyball governing body of the country on Tuesday.
The election of NVA is set to take place on September 7. Maskey also became the first woman to announce candidacy for the top position of NVA established in 1976. She expressed commitments to make reform in five areas—coaching, competition, infrastructure, administration and motivation—if elected.
Maskey has been in the NVA executive committee for nearly one and a half decade in the capacity of member, treasurer and vice president.
Former NVA presidents Dan Bahadur Tamang and Ganga Bahadur Thapa attended the announcement ceremony.
