Police, APF off to flying starts

At the NSC covered hall, Police overpowered Nayabazar Samajik Yuwa 3-0 to collect their first three points. With a majority of national men’s volleyball team members in the squad, Police were dominating in their 25-9, 25-21, 25-16 victory.

A total of six teams are competing in the women’s category while the men’s section features seven teams in the tournament that will run until April 8. The championship is being played in the round-robin format. The top two finishers at the end of the league will compete in the final.
The winners of both women’s and men’s categories will receive a cash prize of Rs300,000 each while the runners-up will get Rs150,000. The third-placed teams and fourth-placed teams will take home Rs76,000 and Rs37,500 respectively.
