Atlantic Sports Management (ASM) Pvt Ltd is all set to organise AC Milan Football Camp Nepal on April 7-13 at the ANFA Complex grounds in Satdobato.
The football training camp to be conducted by the youth coaches of Italian Serie A outfits will be participated in
by Under-17 players of Nepal, said Thamman Bhusal, the programme coordinator of the ASM, on Tuesday. However, ASM was unable to reveal the names of trainers who will under take the programme in Nepal.
ASM said that it was planning to provide training to around 100 players after taking registration fees on the first come first service basis. One Up Pvt Ltd will take over the responsibility of event management. It will be the second time the ASM will be organising the AC Milan camp after holding the first in April 2017. “We are yet to receive the list of coaches to conduct training and Milan will inform about it in due course,” added Bhusal.
The registration fees will also be decided later. One of the underprivileged trainees will be provided scholarship under the recommendation of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). “The registration fees was fixed at Rs 32,000 on the last edition and we are planning to reduce it this year,” said ASM Chairman and Chief Executive Ashesh Upreti adding that they need to pay fees of 265 euros per player to Milan.
“The trainees will get sports kits from Milan including jersey sets, bags and certificates among others. One best player from the training camp will also be picked for a week-long training camp at AC Milan’s Academy. The club will bear all the expenses of the selected player,” said Upreti. The AC Milan Junior Camp would be organised at 103 locations of 19 countries this year, according to website of the junior camp.
The One Up chief executive officer Ravi Shankar Jha said the expected cost of the event is around Rs 6-7 million and they were looking for sponsors to meet the expenses. They were in discussions with the Youth Council and other sponsors for financial supports.
