Chemjong heroics send Nepal to Solidarity Cup final

Nepal defeated Laos 3-0 on penalties and entered the final of the AFC Solidarity Cup in Malaysia.
Kiran Chemjong was the hero for the Nepali side saving two of the three penalties, the third of which was shot wide. Heman Gurung, Bikram Lama and Sujal Shrestha converted for Nepal.
The match was decided on penalties after the two sides were tied on 2-2 after extra time.
Laos scored the first on 17th minute to earn the early lead. Nepal overturned the lead with headers from Bimal Gharti Magar on 47th and Ananta Taman on 104th minute. However, a goal with three minutes of extra time remaining pushed the match to the penalties.
Nepal will play the final against the winner of Brunei and Macau in the final on Tuesday.
