The tournament will feature top 16 seeds in the men’s section and eight in the women’s section with each victory earning the shuttlers Rs 1,500. While the men’s winner and runner-up will get up to Rs 44,000 and Rs 34,000, the top two finishers in the women’s section will earn Rs 36,000 and Rs 28,000 respectively.

Ratnajit Tamang has been given the top seed in the men’s section followed by Bikash Shrestha, Dipesh Dhami, Sajan Krishna Tamrakar, Indra Mahata, Pankaj Chand, Bishnu Katuwal, Bishal Pradhan, Sahadev Khadka, Deepak Bohora, Sanjiv Khadka, Sudip Sedhai, Bibek Shrestha, Basanta Bajracharya, Bilal Warsi and Ram Singh Chaudhary.

Nangsal Devi Tamang holds the top ranking in the women’s singles followed by Sabina Panthi, Sara Devi Tamang, Samjhana Khaling, Puja Shrestha, Punam Gurung, Mina Shrestha and Amita Giri. Nangsal’s elder sister Sara is the three-time champion of the tournament but after missing two other events in the last calendar year, she lost the top seed to the former.
