Bardiya
A decomposing carcass of an adult tiger was found in Kalika Community Forest in ward 4 of Madhuban Municipality on Sunday.
According to the Division Forest Office, Bardiya, it has been estimated that the tiger might have died a couple of weeks ago. The exact cause of death and the time it died can only be said after an autopsy, officials said.
A team of technicians from the Bardiya National Park reached the incident site and sent the body for a postmortem.
A preliminary examination by the technical team suggests that the tiger died of natural causes, said Prabin Bidari, head of the Division Forest Office.
