A 24-year-old man died and another was injured in a motorcycle accident near Thanabharyang in ward 11 of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City along the East-West Highway.
Umesh Tamang of Nawalpur in Hetauda-11, who was riding pillion, died on the spot, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Makwanpur.
The rider, identified as Man Bahadur Rumba, also known as Rohit, of Hetauda-11, sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at Churehill Hospital.
According to police, the motorcycle was en route to Nawalpur from Hetauda when it struck a roadside pole and plunged around 50 feet down the slope.
