16 injured in Makawanpur bus accident

At least 16 people were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident in ward 6 of Manahari Rural Municipality in Makawanpur on Thursday morning.
The police said that the bus en route from Itahari to Bhairahawa skidded around 10 metres off the East-West Highway at Sunachuri.
According to bus driver Rakesh Chaudhary, who is in police custody, the accident occurred due to a steering wheel lock-up. Police said the injured have been referred to Bharatpur for treatment.
