Two people died, and 10 others were injured in separate road accidents in Chitwan district.

According to Superintendent of Police Rajan Limbu, 25-year-old Lalbabu Paswan from ward 2 in Sakhuwa Prasauni Municipality in Parsa died after being hit by a car near ward 4 Bharatpur Metropolitan City-4 at around 5am on Monday.

He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in Bharatpur.

In another incident, 64-year-old Keshav Bahadur Karmacharya from ward 1 of Khairahani Municipality died after an Indian truck hit the motorcycle he was riding at Simaltandi Chowk along the East-West Highway on Sunday evening. Karmacharya died while receiving treatment at the College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Bharatpur.

Meanwhile, a jeep carrying domestic tourists for a jungle safari in the tourist town of Sauraha overturned, injuring ten people. Police said the vehicle went out of control and overturned. Among the injured, three are in serious condition and have been taken to hospital, while the rest sustained minor injuries.
